About JoLynne's Family Tree
`What Is Life?`
Life is a well orchestrated ballad. At some points it can have the
fastest paced, most joyous rhythm. At other points it can be so slow and draw-
out that you may want to turn it off. Intermingled with these extremes are
periods of change. These are the periods that are always the hardest to
arrange. Sometimes they develope fluidly and float along. Other times they
are jagged and have abrupt movements. Either way, change is the only thing
that is constant. Throughout the composition there are `aria`. Whether they
are executed with great articulation and tone is not always in the vocalist`s
hands, nor is the way this great song ends. All that can be done is try to be
a great conductor and hope that the listner is somehow moved.
